Shamim Ahamed is a Bangladeshi contemporary visual artist, 3D illusionist, art director, animation–digital art specialist, and concept creator, who has spent more than two decades developing a distinctive artistic language that merges realistic sketching, 3D illusion art, graffiti, wall murals, mixed media, animation, digital illustration, motion-based art, new media practices, and advanced art–technology integration. Born in Sonagazi, Feni, Shamim began his artistic journey in childhood, exploring the interplay of light, shadow, depth, emotion, and the delicate boundary between reality and illusion. After completing his BFA from the Department of Fine Arts at Jahangirnagar University, he became the Director and Concept Architect of Bangladesh’s first 3D Art Gallery at the Bangladesh Military Museum, where he introduced large-scale illusion-based art to a national audience in a transformative way.
